Description

Dark green-blue electrical insulator; "Brookfield New York" is written on the surface in raised lettering, near the base. Manufactured by Brookfield Glass Co., a manufacturer of glass products that began producing insulators in the 1870s, when demand for the product increased as a result of the rapid production of telegraph lines.

Context

The insulator was donated from Boyd's Farm a historic site within the Goulburn region since 1872.
