One black and white photograph of one Caucasian woman. The woman is identified as Clystal (Clissie) Stewart. She is wearing a long sleeve, light coloured, calf length dress, all details are obscured with an over exposed area of the photograph. Her hair is dark coloured and is styled with volume at the crown of her head. The donor confirms that Clystal is in the same physical space as the photograph D2021.7.1.17 which is the Stewart family property in Richmond, Ontario. Clystal was attending the going away celebration for Sefton that was hosted at the Stewart home the weekend before Sefton's departure with the Canadian Expeditionary Force. In the background the profile of a white frame house is on the right, and dark coloured wood frame out building on the far left side of the photo, and trees positioned throughout the background. On the reverse of the photograph there is a blue coloured ink inscription that reads, "1916 Aunt Clissie," in black coloured pencil is written, "The Nesbitt House as was." Clystal Stewart was the sister of Sefton Stewart a Canadian Expeditionary Force member who served from 1916-1918 during the First World War. The family resided in Richmond, Ontario.Context
