This item has a brown wooden frame with a gold accent, burgundy mat board displaying a photograph which depicts five individuals sitting at a dark wooden desk with small wooden name plates in front of each individual. At the bottom edge of the mat board is a silver rectangular name plate that has cursive font of the individuals names and the year 1979-1980. The photograph shows five individuals, councillors, sitting from left to right; J. Don Green of Ward 3, Anthony Wytenburg of Ward 4, Mayor Betty Hill, Gilmour Brown of Ward 1, and Bob Fredericks of Ward 2. Two national flags are in the background of the photograph. In the bottom right corner of the photograph is a golden signature, Dixie. The back of the frame is covered in a brown paper. At the top of the frame is a piece of tape with the number four written in black ink. Along the sides are screws that connect a thin metal wire across the frame. In the middle where the metal wire crosses horizontally, is a hole in the brown paper backing. In the bottom corners of the frame are small plastic blockers to prevent damage to the wall or frame when hung on a surface.Context
This object is significant as it was originally located in the Township of Goulbourn Municipal Building. It is additionally significant as it visually depicts a number of prominent members of the community, as well as providing dates.Collection
