Roy McCooeye (James Elroy McCooeye) was a resident of the former Goulbourn Township. As a youth Roy was a member of the Stittsville Orange Young Britons (O.Y.B). The O.Y.B. was the youth group associated with the Loyal Orange Lodge. Roy McCooeye was a member of the O.Y.B. band and would have attended parades and events.
