Colour photograph of John Leroux of Stittsville, Ontario. The photo was taken on the occasion of the Legionnaire of the Year trophy presentation c.2002-2005. This award was presented to John Leroux by the Stittsville branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. The photograph is taken indoors with three central people in the foreground. On the left side is John Leroux, dressed in a dark jacket, white collared shirt and striped tie, he has Legion and service decorations on his jacket. John is holding a large wood and metal trophy. The trophy has a rectangular wooden base with two tiers of wood and metal name plates with recipient information arranged horizontally along the sides of each tier. There are three metal figures placed at the top of the tiers with a vertical element topped with a metal trophy shaped decoration. On the right side of the trophy there is an unidentified man also wearing a dark jacket, collared white shirt, striped tie, Legion decorations and military service decorations. On the far right of the image is a third man, unidentified, holding a plaque. The man is wearing a dark coloured jacket, white collared shirt, striped tie, Legion decorations, military service decorations, and has a Legion patch visible on the right side of his jacket.
