Colour photograph of John Leroux of Stittsville, Ontario and a unidentified veteran. The men were attending an "Army Night" event at the arena in Kanata and watched the Ottawa Senators play the Chicago Blackhawks. John received six special passes to the event and brought five veterans with him. The two men are photographed saluting with a standing crowd behind them presuming the national anthem was playing at the time. The men are wearing suit jackets with military and Royal Canadian Legion decorations. John Leroux is on the left side wearing a green coloured suit jacket, green tie with a diagonal fine yellow and red stripe, 2nd Guards cap badge, and a black beret. John Leroux has a Korea Veterans Association Canada Local 7 name badge on his lapel, along with a yellow ribbon pin above the name badge, and an undistinguishable pin below the name badge. John is wearing two sets of medals, one on the left side of his jacket and the other on the right side of his jacket. The unidentified veteran is on the right side, is wearing a blue suit jacket, blue collared shirt, and red and blue striped tie. He has a black beret with an unidentified cap badge, a Royal Canadian Legion pin on his lapel, a red poppy, set of military decorations numbering seven in total with two having additional bars to note.
