Black leather shoe atop metal skate, black leather reading as 9 and 1/2 women's in size.

Context

Used by Mrs. Sam Rea for skating on the Jock River. Made in Western Ontario by C.C.M. Skates such as these were often used by people of all ages during winter, making skating one of Canada's oldest pastimes.
