Description

This object is a land deed situate which outlines the transfer of land between George Lackey and Wilford Cathcart following the death of Avreal C. Lackey. It is dated February 28, 1927. It concerns a parcel of land designated E1/2 Lot 24 Concession 7. It consists of four equal sized pages of paper, cream in colour, which are bound at the proper top right corner with a yellow brass clip which is affixed to the top edge of the pages. The mediums are a black and blue printed ink, Fields are filled in by hand with a black ink rendered in cursive. The front page (a) bears the title "This Indenture" written in a large decorative script, rendered in black ink, located at the top center with a slight bias towards the proper left. The front page (a) second page (b) and third page (c), have three vertical red lines extending the length of the page, two near the proper right margin and one near the proper left margin. The third page (c) has three circular red seals located at the bottom proper left corner of the front. The back of the document, aka the reverse of page 4, bears the title page which appears perpendicular to the primary text as this object was intended to be folded into a brochure form for transport and storage. There is a faint rubber stamp imprint in black ink at the top proper left corner of the back which depicts 7 lines of script; a black handwritten inscription has been used to fill the fields of the stamp. The text at the bottom half of the back is upside-down in relation to the primary text of the document.
