Description

This object is a mortgage agreement between A. Lackey and E. Pratt. It is dated February 9, 1923. It concerns a parcel of land designated E1/2 Lot 24 Concession 7. The support is a rectangular cream colored piece of paper. The medium is a black printed ink. The fields have been filled in with a handwritten black ink, rendered in cursive. There are two stamps located on the proper top right corner of the front. The stamps depict 7 lines of script. Both stamps are identical in form, however the stamp oriented to the proper right is executed in blue ink, while the other, to the proper left, is rendered in black ink. The title page is located on the proper right of the front due tot he fact this object was intended to be folded for transport and storage; this is also the reason why the title page is oriented along a vertical axis with the bottom of the words pointed towards the proper left edge of the page. The written component located on the proper bottom right of the front is upside-down for unknown reason. The proper left of the front features the words "This Indenture" in a large font located at the top, centered, executed in a decorative black script. There are two red seals shaped like cogs with pointed teeth on the proper bottom right corner of the back near the proper right margin; these are in a vertical arrangement.
