This object is a mortgage agreement between Wilford Cathcart and Emeline Pratt. It is dated to February 28, 1927. It concerns a parcel of land designated E1/2 Lot 24 Concession 7. It is comprised of four cream colored pieces of paper held together with a yellow brass clip located at the proper top right corner; the clip is affixed to the top edge of papers. The medium is a black and blue ink. Signatures are rendered in a handwritten black ink, rendered in cursive. The front page (a) second page (b) and third page (c) and fourth page (d), have three vertical red lines extending the length of the page on the front; two near the proper right margin and one near the proper left margin. The words "DISCHARGE REGISTERED" have been punched into the bottom proper right of all the pages with small holes, rendered in all capital letters; this appears mirrored when viewed from the front. Pages 3 and 4 (c and d) have an additional "DISCHARGE REGISTERED" mark located at the proper bottom left of the page, these are not mirrored when viewed from the front. Page 3 (c) has two circular red seals located in the proper bottom right corner. The front of page 4 is blank aside from the vertical red lines, the reverse of this page is the back of the object. The back of the object, aka the reverse of page 4, bears the title page which is situated in a perpendicular orientation in relation to the primary text of the document due to the fact that this object was intended to be folded into a brochure form for transport and storage. There is a rubber stamp rendered in black ink, badly faded, located at the bottom of the back approximately centered; this depicts 7 lines of script. The stamp has been filled in with a handwritten black ink.Context
