The article reads, "Death Scene Here in a wild turmoil of grinding steel and driving snow two Ottawa railwaymen died this morning and two others were injured. ABOVE on its side spewing live steam into the bitter night air is the engine of the West-bound train on which were Engineer Travers Short (lower left) and Fireman George H. Hannan (lower right), both casualties. The second picture shows how the cars from the East-bound freight were hurled against the Ashton station, smashing it like a child's toy."
