The Ontario Coat of Arms appears below, followed by text that reads: "Ontario Department of Education, It is hereby certified that Orville Brown has complied with the requirements of the Department of Education for admission to a Collegiate Institute, High School or Continuation School. Dated at Ottawa. Signed on behalf of the High School Entrance Board, July 15, 1925." The certificate is signed, in black ink, by the chairman, Thomas P. Maxwell, B.A.
