"Send us a postcard" was often the request of friend or family member to those who traveled. This postcard from the Grand Hotel depicts the top side of the Cascades overlooking the lagoon, with the newly opened "cottage colony" north of the main building, on the grounds of the Grand Hotel (10 four-bedroom cottages were constructed). Mobile Bay lies to the west of the cottages, with the lagoon on the east.Create Date
