A classified missioned, Operation Ivory Soap was designed to train Army Air Corps personnel to serve on converted Liberty Ships to their destinations in the Pacific to repair aircraft to fight the Japanese. 1944-1945. The fourth person from left (in boat) has been identified as Claude Dodson, who received his seamanship certificate on September 9, 1944.
