The Grand Hotel's first order of Syracuse China was placed in 1940, prior to its opening in April 1941; the last was in 1987 (this is the design page from 1933). Production and orders were interrupted during World War II. The pattern was first called Peasantry (P-111 series) and was hand painted; renamed Picardy in the 1980's and design applied with a printed decal.Create Date
