Notes

The Throckmorton-Bentley Genealogy Series of the Dr. Jeannette Franc Throckmorton Collection consists of selected items from a hand-typed manuscript, given as a Christmas gift to Jeannette's sister, Daisy, in 1914. Included among these pages are photographs, letters, articles, pieces of cloth and lace, and other items preserved from the family history. Along with the Throckmortons are documented the Crows, Lazears, Bentleys, Days, Scotts, Sutphins, and Howards, primarily of Pennsylvania and Iowa. The original book is in the possession of a descendant of Jeannette and Daisy's beloved brother Charley. These descendants have transcribed and digitized the complete book, which is now available as a Kindle book from Amazon and as a free downloadable PDF from Greene Connections. The family shared the digital files with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Archives Project in 2019.
