Description

Asa Warren Morris [1826-1891] home in Yolo, California. This grand Italianate Victorian home, seven miles north of Woodland, California, was built in 1868 to replace Asa Morris’ original 1852 pioneer cabin. Asa and second wife, Mary Alice Campbell, raised four surviving children in this home: Warren Lindsay Morris, Jennie Belle Morris, William Campbell Morris, and Kate Scott Morris. Pictured: Jenny Belle Morris (standing in front of picket fence); Asa Morris (standing left behind picket fence); Mary Alice Campbell Morris (standing right, behind picket fence); Warren Lindsay Morris (standing on porch); Kate Scott Morris (seated in upper left window); William Campbell Morris (seated on upper balcony).
