Huffman Furniture Company located on the corner of East High Street and Whiskey Alley in Waynesburg, Greene County, Pennsylvania. Thomas Jefferson Huffman [1849-1937] was President of the Huffman Furniture Company, which he formed with his son, George Edward Huffman [1880-1970], in 1908. The Huffman family bought the J. H. Ganiear & Son Furniture and Undertaking business from John Hayes Ganiear [1847-1925] after the death of his son, Charles Hedge Ganiear [1871-1908]. The Ganiear family may be viewed with the building in item # PUBL-AN003-0112A. Pictured [Left-Right]: Believed to be George Edward Huffman [1880-1970], Believed to be Eliza Miranda (Mattox) Huffman [1852-1920], Jessie (Silveus) Huffman [1878-1940]*, Jacob Doty [1850-1923]**, Thomas Jefferson Huffman [1849-1937], Unidentified man. *Jessie (Silveus) Huffman identified based on comparison to item # GCHS-AN026-0246. **Jacob Doty identified by comparison to family photos privately owned by Roger Doty. Jacob was a son of Lewis Doty and Nancy Sibert. He was employed by the Huffman family. Other family members identified based on privately owned Huffman family photographs.
