Helen Abigail Scott [1891-1962] is standing in front of the home of her parents, George W. Scott and Virginia Frances (Ledwith) Scott, at the corner of South Morris Street and West Greene Street in Waynesburg, Greene County, Pennsylvania.
Next door, though out of the shot, is the home of Dr. Thomas Newton Millikin [1859-1934], marked by the decorative columns that can be seen along the sidewalk. The Millikin house may be seen next to the Scott house in Fred High, Waynesburg Prosperous and Beautiful (Hamilton, Ohio: Brown & Whitaker, 1906), page 51. See item # PUBL-AN003-051A.
Across the street, on the block between Cherry Alley and High Street, is the Ross Building, which housed many local businesses over the years, including the United States Post Office, from 1904-1922.
