Family of Marion Jasper Clovis and his wife, Sarah Eliza (Eakin) Clovis, in front of their home. [Left-Right]: BACK - Glenn Milliken Clovis [grandson], Marion Jasper Clovis, Sarah Eliza (Eakin) Clovis, Martha Blanche "Mattie" (Clovis) Jones [daughter], Athaliah Frances (Clovis) Hoy [daughter], Unidentified; FRONT - Ella Cleo (Clovis) White [granddaughter], Carl Clovis Smith [grandson]. The unidentified woman is probably the mother of Glenn and Ella - Ona (Mitchell) Clovis, or the mother of Carl - Mary Aveline (Clovis) Smith. Marion Jasper Clovis sold the coal rights to the property and used the profit to build the house. The house was torn down by the coal company, circa 1998. It was located about 1/3 of the way on the road from Pine Bank to the Methodist Church. Original, no photographer listed.

The Athaliah Frances (Clovis) Hoy Collection was passed from Marion Jasper Clovis [1849-1928] and his wife, Sarah Eliza Eakin [1852-1931], to their daughter, Athaliah Frances (Clovis) Hoy [1886-1987], then to her grandson, James Michael Hoy, who owned and shared the collection with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Archives Project in 2008.
