The Miller-Simpson Album Series photographs are in a cabinet card size photograph album originally owned by Eliza Campbell "Lida" (Miller) Simpson [1856-1919] - wife of Dr. Theodore Parker Simpson, daughter of Alfred Brashear Miller and Margaret Kerr Bell. Lida was a graduate of Waynesburg College, Class of 1876; the album includes many of her classmates, as well as family and friends. The album was passed from Eliza Campbell "Lida" (Miller) Simpson and her husband, Dr. Theodore Parker Simpson, to their daughter, Kate McBeth (Simpson) Merrick [1884-1959], and her husband, Silas Clarence Merrick [1879-1942], to their only son, Robert Silas Merrick [1914-2002], and his wife, Eva Mae (Christie) Merrick [1918-2005], to their grandson, Peter Merrick, who owned and shared the album with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Archives Project.
