Sarah (Church) Morris [1838-1879]. Sarah (Church) Morris was a daughter of Elijah Church and Anna Moore of Center Township. She was the first wife of Captain John Morris, and mother of their six children: Martha Ann Morris (Call), Asa Warren Morris, Arta Mace Morris (Hunt), John Roseberry Morris, Reverend James Madison Morris, and Elijah Ephraim Morris. She died in March, 1879. A memorial stained glass window was dedicated in her honor by her husband and children in the First Christian Church of Waynesburg, 1901. Original, no photographer listed.
