Waynesburg Academy, Class of 1910. The Waynesburg College Preparatory Department, also known as Waynesburg Academy, prepared students for the college curriculum. It was terminated in 1916, when it was determined to no longer be necessary because adequate high school education had become more commonly available. Scrapbook of Waynesburg College memories, 1910-1912, assembled by Paul Waddell Knox [1891-1965], Class of 1913. The album includes 83 images of classmates, friends, sports teams, social groups, and members of Company K, 10th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, National Guard. Paul was the son of a Waynesburg College couple, Isaac Havely Knox (Class of 1889) and Theodosia Burr (Waddell) Knox (Class of 1884), who also appear in their son’s album.
