It is believed that the image was given to Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Inghram) Rinehart [1869-1956] - wife of John Garard Rinehart, daughter of Josiah Smith Inghram and Sarah Inghram Hook. The Josephine Denny Collection was passed from Eleazer Luse Denny [1865-1910] and his wife, Louise (Inghram) Denny [1867-1956], to their daughters, Mary Inghram (Denny) Weaver [1891-1972], Josephine Denny [1893-1992], and Helen (Denny) Howard [1896-1981]. Josephine Denny passed the collection to Farley Toothman who owned and shared it with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Archives Project between 2004 and 2025.
