Waynesburg College plaque once located on the outside wall of the Messenger Building on the northeast corner of High and Washington Streets in Waynesburg, Greene County, Pennsylvania. The plaque read: "On the second floor of / a building occupying this site / the first classes of / Waynesburg College / were held / September 1849 / pending the erection of the first / college building / Dedicated by the Class of 1929."
