Nancy (Spragg) Stewart [1858-1934] - wife of John Stewart, daughter of Lorenzo Dow Spragg & Susan Owens. This cabinet card is likely an 1890s-era reproduction by Photographic Art Studio, Caldwell's Building, Washington, Pa., of the original 1860s photograph. Based on the similar appearance of item # YEAT_AN002_0006, we believe both of these old photos were taken to the local photographer for reprints at the same time in the 1890s.

The Spragg Series of the Thelma (White) Yeager Collection was passed from Lorenzo Dow Spragg [1834-1911] and his wife, Susan Owens [1839-1919], to their daughter Jennie Spragg [1861-1922] and her husband, James Lindsey Patterson [1860-1914], to their daughters, Blanche Susan (Patterson) Cummins [1890-1981] and Pearle Loreno (Patterson) White [1900-1987], both of whom passed their photographs to Pearle's granddaughter Thelma (White) Yeager who owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Archives Project in 2005.
