Scope and Content

Elizabeth (Buchanan) McClelland Family Bible, Holy Bible (Philadelphia, PA: Lippincott, Grambo & Co., 1852). The McClelland Family Bible Records were first kept by Elizabeth (Buchanan) McClelland [1806-1890] who presented the Bible to her great-grandson James Garrett Garrettson on 20 May 1885. The Bible has been passed through the direct family line from James Garrett Garrettson [1884-1950] to his only son, James Albert Garrettson Sr. [1911-2000], to his only son, James Albert Garrettson Jr., who owned and shared the Bible with the Greene Connections: Greene County Pennsylvania Archives Project in 2007.
