Though this picture may pre-date their ownership, this property was home to John Milton Clutter [1876-1956] and Minnie Belle (Wise) Clutter [1879-1969], in Morris Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania.
Handwritten inscription reads, "Walter Swart, West Finley." Walter Howard Swart was the husband of Silvie Olive Clutter. This notation probably was written to indicate that Walter owned the photo or that it was to be returned to him. This was a common practice when images were taken to a photographer to order reproductions or enlargements.

The Wayne Carl Swart Collection items were passed down by multiple relatives and assembled by Wayne Carl Swart - son of Walter Howard Swart [1903-1945] and Silvie Olive Clutter [1905-1992]. Mr. Swart shared his collection with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Archives Project in 2021.
