The Rees Series was passed from James Buchanan Rees [1858-1930] and his first wife, Elizabeth "Bettie" Furr [1857-1903], to their daughter, Elsie Huffman Rees [1890-1982], and her husband, Glenn Jacob Roy Thornton Toothman Sr. [1891-1967], to their son, Melvin Lee Toothman [1922-2015], who owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Archives Project in 2007.
