Description

Postmarked 9 May 1918, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. Real-photo postcard of horses sold by Robert Johnson Auld to the coal company. The postcard was sent by Robert's second wife, Emma (Lemley) (Christiansen) Auld to her sister-in-law Olive Blanche (Auld) McDaid. Handwritten inscription reads, "Dear Olive / The other side is a picture of the horses Bob sold to the Coal Co. Hope you are all well. Love to your mother. / Emma." The address reads, "Mrs. C. W. McDaid / West Finley / Wash. Co. / Pa." Original, no photographer listed.
