*****This entry appears to have an error in the year of marriage. The actual marriage date, as recorded in sequence, in Rev. Luther Axtell's marriage ledger shows the wedding date as 11 December 1851. It is possible the Bible entries were rewritten from an earlier record and an error was made; however, it is difficult to tell because we do not have the Bible's title page. For Axtell's ledger, see item no. CMBL-AN003-0000 / accession no. 2016.2.1: Rev. Luther Axtell [1820-1886], "Marriage Record," Keigley-Beabout marriage, 11 December 1851; Ledger, 1840s-1880s, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia; original, privately held by Matt W. Cumberledge, Brave, Pennsylvania, 2016. Purchased at auction. The entry reads, "Keigley-Beabout December 11th 1851 / Mr. Maxwell M. Keigley of Washington / township to Miss Leah Beabout of Morris / township Greene county Pa."
