The photograph was passed from Melville Dunreath Miller [1882-1950] and his first wife, Jessie Wilmetta Rasel [1884-1916], to their daughter Iva Marie Miller [1909-2006], and her husband, Porter Ellis Herrod [1903-1970], to their son Jack Ellis Herrod [1929-2008] and his wife, Martha Jean Pettit, who owned the photograph in 2006. Digital image shared by Jack's grandniece, Candice Lynn Buchanan, with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Archives Project in 2008.
