Robert was a graduate of Dana's Musical Institute in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio (Class of 1875). His classmate, Margaret Virginia (Thompson) Pauley [1855-1937], assembled the album in which this photograph appears. The Pauley-Thompson Album once belonged to the family of John Flenniken Pauley [1858-1929] and his wife, Margaret Virginia Thompson [1855-1937]. The album was found in a building set for demolition and was donated to the Cornerstone Genealogical Society (144 E. Greene St., PO Box 547; Waynesburg, Pennsylvania 15370). Shared with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Archives Project in 2007.
