Dated Christmas 1901. [Left-Right]: Wilhelmina Rush "Wilma" (Sayers) (Milliken) Wisecarver [1899-2005] and Edwin Mitchell Sayers Sr. [1900-1956] - children of Henry Clay Sayers Jr. and Frances Lillian Scott.
The Sayers family lived on West Franklin Street in Waynesburg, Greene County, Pennsylvania, from roughly 1890-1925. We believe this picture was taken inside that home, which as of 2021, is still standing beside Domino's Pizza. See item #GCHS-AN027-0001-0143 and item # SAYE0009 for pictures of the house.
Original, candid.
The Henry Clay Sayers Jr. Collection photographs were passed from Henry Clay Sayers Sr. [1840-1926] and his wife, Clementine Rush [1849-1930], to their son Henry Clay Sayers Jr. [1872-1945] and his wife, Frances Lillian Scott [1873-1949], to their children: Wilma (Sayers) (Milliken) Wisecarver [1899-2005], Edwin Mitchell Sayers Sr. [1900-1956], Frank Scott Sayers [1903-1989], Helen (Sayers) (Gaylord) Burnside [1905-1974] and William Henry Sayers [1909-1958]. The Sayers Collection photographs have been shared courtesy of their descendants, Mary (Gaylord) Loy, Carol (Sayers) Vockel and E. Mitchell Sayers Jr., with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Archives Project in 2007.
