VISIT OUR WEBSITEThe Grimsby Historical Society, located within the iconic Carnegie Library building in Grimsby Ontario, was founded in 1912, when settler descendant families gathered to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the War of 1812 and collect family artifacts and stories. Grimsby Historical Society is the caretaker of many collections contributed by individuals, families, and organizations who have generously donated their history to be preserved, protected and shared for future generations. The collection is a treasure-trove of unique documents, photographs, postcards, diaries, school year books, maps and other materials that narrate Grimsby’s journey.
