A metal farming implement is tucked into his waistband. The hair on his head is hand carved and hand painted to create the queue or long braid wrapped around his head. His feet are bare. Body is stuffed cloth with wooden head, hands and feet. The straw hat is to protect him from the rain. There are holes in his hands and the farming implement that is tucked into his waistband was likely attached to a pole that would have been in one of his hands. He is missing his sandals.
