Grinnell Washing Machine Salesman's Sample washing machine, c. 1907. This miniature washing machine was made to be functional, showing how the actual, full-size washing machine would work. Salesmen took the small samples, in their cases, to potential retailers and other customers to take orders for the larger machines. This sample remains in its original traveling case and is in ssvery good condition. Two booklets describing the Grinnell Washing Machine Company Washers and Wringers were included in the donation.
