A multi-color map of Shelby and Johnson Counties for 1867. The counties are divided into townships with the property owners shown. There are also plats of the various towns in the two counties and a business directory for Shelbyville and Franklin. It is a paper on canvas printing. The map is adttached to two wooden rods and rolls up muck like a school wall map. Near top center is printed data stating C. O. Titus of Philadelphia was the publisher and the map was based on a survey by A. Warner, C. E.
It is brittle with age, the edges are frayed, torn along some folding creases, a large hole in upper left corner through the nmap of Franklin. It is cracked in several places and pulling away from the canvas. Evidence of water damage and discoloration from spider egg sacs.Collection
