Three web belts, one tan, one black, and one ivory colored. The buckle is made for the belt to slip through, then is held in place by a small sliding rod inside the buckle; the lighter belts have solid brass buckles with brass coated clips on opposite end; dark belt has steel buckle painted black and dark steel clip on opposite end.
Ralph Douglass, Jr. was a Shelbyville, IN native. He attended Merchant Marine program in Kingsport, New York about 1943; after graduation he held reserve commission in the U. S. Navy and then volunteered as deck officer and navigator. Donated items are associated with his career in Navy and / or Merchant Marine.Use
