Donation, 08/09/1981. Used by: Lena Firn Booher Grover. Made by: Thornton-Levey Co, Indianapolis, Ind. Marked: "THORNTON-LEVEY CO INDPLS". At top of diploma is a young woman studying among maps, globes, books, and a telescope. Around her are the words: "INDIANA COMMON SCHOOLS". Diploma was issued June 1, 1908 to Lena Firn Booher for having completed the course of Common School Study as prescribed by the State of Indiana. Signed and sealed with gold foil by Shelby County Education Superintendant. Also an engraving of the Indiana State Seal.
