Scope and Content

The memorial/announcement that was distributed at Roy Ortiz' funeral. The announcement was originally in card format, but has been laminated in a perminantly open state. It has a color photo of a soldiers' monument with the inscription "to our fallen heroes" carved on its base and a Civil War era soldier standing atop. It is surrounded by American flags. The words "In Honored Memory" are on the bottom, right corner of the photo. Printed on the opposite side of the announcement are the lyrics to "Taps" (on the left side) and the specific funeral arrangements (on the right). Funeral arrangements include Roy Ortiz date of birth and death, location and time of funeral service, officiating clergy, and place of internment.
