Appears to be a mass produced iron broad ax; may havehad a steel cutting edge inserted; flat poll; the head has a curveto it; measurements above are for the head; handle length 25 1/8"' the handle is recurved. Head measurements 11 11/16" at widest 8" front to back. Stamped near the poll; 3 lines top line; ellegible; 2nd line: Cincinnati, 3rd line two words, lst illegible 2nd word appears to be Steel. Hewing ax for tking the round off logs to make square side. 1983.004.001 A ax head 001B handle
