Canvas bag made from one piece of canvas folded over and stitched along bottom and left side, also at top; there is a red zig-zag line on the left side of bag; a round metal piece (1-1/4" diameter x 1-7/8" high) has been sewn into the upper left corner in order to put water in bag and pour out; also a piece of rolled sheet iron slides on and off top of bag; sewn into top of bag are 2 iron wire rings to which a length of rope is tied.
Front of bag has a stencil like mark 5-3/4" in diameter; in center is duck on a pond w/water plants to left, then dotted line circle, then above duck "RED DUCK" below duck "BRAND" each side of duck a copyright logo and then an outer circle of a dotted line.
Bags like this were used on early auto trips; filled with water and hung by the rope over the radiator intake; bag would sweat and as drove down the rode the wind would evaporate the condensation keeping the water cool.Collection
