Splint picnic basket; probably made of ash; splints are 7/8" wide; bottom has runners and an "X" crossbar between runners; a 1" reinforced band fastened with nails is around the top; lid is made of 1 3/4" splint with a 1 3/4" frame; there are two 7/8" hinges holding the lid; one hinge fastened with a cotter pin and other hinge fastened with a bent nail; 26" handle.
