6 brass or brass-alloy bells of varying size attached to a strip ofleather; the bells are somewhat acorn shaped witha ridge at the equator; area below equarto is devoid of ornamentation but has four sound holes near base; area above equator had elongated horsehoe shapes connected at the open end by an arcing double line; this area has a slit across top for a sound holeand all but one bell has a number stamped on the top " 2,3,5,6,7" fastened to leather by means of extension on base pushed thru a slit and secured by a piece of wire shaped like a :"8"
Had old collectio number 137 and records for it read: "Sleigh bells owned by Joseph Little who founded the town "Tailholt", Donor Bennett Anc."Collection
