lid lifts; brass hinge at each end; brass chain attached to inside and top to hold lid ;upright to keep it from falling back and springing hinges; lid lifts to reveal 28" x 11 1/2" box in which to store sheet music;legs taper down to triangular shaped foot; dark finish; bottom of box made out of 1/2" x 4 3/4" wood pieces, hole in inside top lid to receive chain.
