Black Leather Trunk

Description

Black leather trunk with all edges trimmed in brass; another piece of metal banding in the middle of the trunk; 3 closures on front of trunk appear to be iron and brass; a leather handle on each end of trunk; metal banding is applied with rivets; protective metal knobs are at each corner and points between corners; 3 wood slats secured to the bottom; inside lined with a red and white checked fabric; also a paper maker's label inside trunk lid. Mark: Metal plaque on top reads "L E Morrison & Co./Beehive Trunk Factory/ Indianapolis, Ind" Mark: one end of trunk is stenciled "E. P."
