An oblong vessel with a handled lid; bowl has blue floral decoration; embossed white & gilded lines and dots surround edge approx. 1" from top; two blue & gilt handles are attached at opposite ends; foot of bowl has slightly scalloped edge above which is a raised design in white and gilt; lid also has blue decoration, the edge having same raised pattern as bowl; center of lid rises to a peak upon which is attached a "D"-shaped handle which is blue and gilt; below handle is a blue and gilt raised pattern. Stamped in blue on bottom: BYZANTINE/ROYAL/SEMI PORCELAIN; underneath is a crown, below which reads: WOOD & SON/ENGLAND; approx. 1" below and upside-down is the number "22".Collection
