Blue & white (Summer & Winter) coverlet, 2 pieces; hand sewn together; jacquard pattern; floral medallion and star shape (8 point) in main body of coverlet; border on right and left side has stars & flowers - top edge plain and hemmed; bottom border has name, date and place of the weaver. Fringe on bottom is blue & white, fringe on sides blue only. Woven across bottom "Wove By John Klein Aug 1 1853 Shelby Co., Ind."
