Brace has ratchet mechanism above the chuck; the ratchet control devise and adjusting section of chuck are steel, rest of metal pieces are iron; has round wood handle at top and barrel shaped wood handle on crank portion:eleven bits to set (Some have protective yellow plastic tip cap); bits range in size from 5/16 to 15/16 with one spade bit 1 11/16. Yellow plastic tip caps are marked "Westcraft" Brace is 1985.020.002A and bits are 1985.020.002B through 1985.020.002L
